Manic Monday!

Welcome to the first Manic Monday! Manic means when you're happy, well I will talk about stuff that make me and others happy!

As you all know Halloween is coming up. Costumes, Candy and creativity! Those are the three C's, I will quickly go over what each ones means,

Lotsa people know what Costumes mean, Dressing up as your favorite character. Some people base it on their favorite movie or charecter of the year, For example soul surfer, they can go as Bethany Hamilton.  It is the best part of Halloween,

Candy is of course sweets! People give out Candy door to door. it is an act of kindess. Although no one can quite get why people do this, we just focus on the candy!

Creativity. this is onvolved in halloween by both Costumes Candy and decorations. People get creative on Halloween. They choose whats the funnest way to celebrate, they dress up as wacky monsters or people. Give crazy amounts of Candy or Or decorate their yard in themes!

Halloween is super fun, and there is no agr requirement. Even I'm going out, as the cheshire cat from the new alice in wonderland. And you ask, Why am I talking about Halloween? Well it is less then one week away and it makes lotsa people happy. Also to tell you about fun ways to celebrate Halloween. Well first of all

Halloween evening or Afternoon!
It's time to do the finishing touches. Put on your costume, eat, and finish decorating. To fit this all in eat a good supper, One with protein to keep you going. Eating is important to get something in, all the walking will wear you out. But eating will keep you awak and strong. Put on your costume after. You should always keep it clean, and dry, if not you have extra work to do and might miss Halloween. Finiecorating your house by sweeping the floors, putting Candy in the bowls and hanging up decorations, or put extra decorations in your house. Your yard should be done before hand.

Halloween night!
It's time to trick or treat! it best if you go with friends, if your over 12 or going with a 12 year old, you don't have to go with parents. But if you want to be safe, it's fine. Otherwise everyone must go with parents. Keep a flasher or light on you at all times. or else keep a whistle, or something that will illuminate. When you receive Candy, always have manners, say Thank you or please and good bye. If your 12 or over you can stay out late, but remember have permission from your parents.

After Trick or treating.

Whats always fun is to be with your friend and count Candy then trade. You might get together with a friend before hand, but if you didn't you can watch a movie, or hang out.

Some fun ideas.

Pumpkin carve with a friend. Invit your friend over early and carve a pumkin together. I alway like to gut it with a friend. Also do some decorating, and make snacks or help each other with costumes.

As you can see halloween has much preperation and fun involved. To make it the funnest follow my directions. Even if you don't go out, I really appreciate you reading this, and feel free to pass it on to a friend who does.

See you next time!  more like tune in next time!

Recomendation friday!

Hey. Welcome back to the real thing on recommendation Friday! We are still on Dogtober, which means for the whole month we'll be talking about dogs. Next is climbtember, And we'll be talking about stuff that climbs, Rodents most of all!. Then it's clanmembers (December) Animal that are in packs or clans. Then Is Jancanary, BIRDS! so stay tuned.

This weeks recommendation is the Samoyed !

The Samoyed (pronounced Sam-ee -oid) Is a sled dog. Males weigh 56 - 60 pounds Females weigh 4--55 pounds. Their eyes are usually black or brown, and are almond in shape. Blue or other colors are occurred but not allowed in the show ring.  Samoyed's ears are thick and have thick fur over them, triangle shaped and erect.  They are mostly white but sometimes with tan on them or a dark brown tint around the tips of the ears. The tail is the most distinguishing features of this dog. It's like the Alaskan malamute, Their tail is curved over their back, However unlike the malamute its touches their back.  They will let their tail fall when they are at ease or relaxed. Their coat is dense and double layered, The top coat contains long coarse fur, the undercoat contains short soft fluffy hair that provides warmth. They undercoat shed heavily in the once or twice a year.

Sameyods are friendly and aren't guard dogs. With their tendancy to bark, they are good watchdogs. They bark alot. They are good companions for small kids, and other dogs. And they reamin playful even in old age. When they get bored they dig.  They have a sledog heritage and like to pull things, great for winter to pull sleds. They love to pull on the leash, only if they are untrained. Samoyeds were also used to herd reindeer. They will instinctively hers animals and little kids when playing.  They always have a happy expression.

Samoyeds can compete in Agilty, Carting, Obedience, And many more. Sameyods where also used in polar regions and used for sledding and keeping their owners warm. I would reccomend this dog

  • Familys who have babies, and want a puppy
  • Show people
  • Familes you live in the Artic, Or Alaska
  • Or people who want it to herd
  • People who just want a companion

Reccomendation Friday

This weeks recommendation is Pharaoh hounds!

At first glance this dog will appear graceful and elegant, as well Athletic and powerful. It's build is one with strength without bulkiness. A pharaoh hound stands from 21 to 24 inches, and weighs 40 to 60 pounds. Males are larger then females. Their coat is fine with no feathering mostly slicked back. The coat feels silky yet hard.

The shade kennels only accept are red, although the shade may vary. from tan to a deep chestnut and all shades in between. All pharaoh's eyes are Amber, which compliment the coat. The nose, whiskers, paw pads, nails and eye rims, must be the same color. Pharaohs "bluch" whenexcited, their nose and ears turn bright pink.

The pharoah hound is intelligiant, trainable, playful and an acive breed ( perfect for avid walkers). It shys away from strangers but if very open and affectinate with owners. It doesn't yap or bark for the sake of barking. It is a very good watch dog.

As you can tell Pharaoh hounds are from egypt and the mediterranian area. As i suspect, looking at pictures. The pharoh hound is  a sacred dog in egypt, back whe  phaorohs ruled. The Hound must be mistaken for a jackel. The head in some egytian carvings, look the the head of Anubis, the Jackel god.
You can easily groon them by using a damp cloth. They aren't much trouble. Sometimes the hounds maybe stubborn but easily trained. They are best in tracking, or just a house pet.

If you want to Hunt with one take it out at night. Therre is less distractions in the night.

As you can see the Pharaoh hound is lovable and playful. I would reccomend it if
  • Your family is constantly active.
  • You hunt
  • You live in a rural area and need a watch dog
  • Or if your ready to take on resposibility for a dog
Also since this is the first reccomendation friday, you will find the bio of the animals, and a list of how this animal will be good for what types of homes

please comment about what you think of these amazings dogs :)

Toby mac concert!

Everyone crowded around the merchandise table. Little kids kicked at the pews. Music played from the spekers. Couples looked at the compassion table. And teens donated for a bottle of water.

This is what it looks like at a toby mac concert.  Me annd my dad waited to get merchandise. There was no line and we where squished. I was getting claustraphobic quickle but lukily we made it. I got a t-shirt, iuts green and says label me a Jesus freak. A black and green toby mac braclet. And a autograph poster. We then had to squish our way out.

The concert started later on. Jaime grace appeared first and sang some songs, One of my favorites is Hold me. Click on it it'll take you to the youtube link. Toby mac came out after and sang songs like Tonight, and my favorite Get back up. As fun as a concert could be it sadly ended and hour and a half later. I met him afterwards and got an autograph, I even fistbumped him. :)

Gerbils part 2

Hey,

So today I went to my friend to see my baby boy. He was excited to see me and chittered, and sniffed my nose. Thats what he does when he's excited. Whenever i come over me and my friend snuggle with our gerbils and watch T.V. The gerbils love exploring around the couch. My friend dropped winter twice but I caught her. Arrow loves to climb around my hands, arms and legs. He is very well behaved because he doesn't make a mess on the couch (winter does that). Winter like to curl up in my friends hands or walk across the counch and hide behind me.

After T.V we train them a bit. Arrow mastered the cups, he now weaves in between them, more like in and out. Winters got the cups and tubes down. Although for arrow more training is needed. They love to explore around their area. Usually after arrow does a cup or two he sits and starts vleaning himslef whereas winter is standing up looking around. They both are lazy in my opinion. We only had training for short while, then we got an idea.

We decided to make a short movie about them. After debating a while we decided to name it the daily life of winter and arrow. Ok, we didn't debate long. This movie will include, them exploring, having a bath, doing funny stuff, excercising and more. It will take couple days to shoot this all, then edit it then post it. We decided to put on Hotmail, my blog, and youtube. So for sure it will be put on my blog.

it's been a memorable time with Arrow, but it's time for him to sleep. Tomorrow check back int see my experience at the.....  TOBY MAC CONCERT!

Gerbils part 1

yesterday I spent quality time with Arrow at my friends house. Since Arrow and Winter are babies, they need to be trained, and learn to trust us. After a couple tries Arrow let me hold him, he loves to curl up in a ball in my hands and sit on my lap.  My friend is a little scared because she never had a small pet. But winter loves to snuggle in my coat, but arrow is more adventurous, he loves to climb everywhere.

We decided to start training them to run through things. We started with paper towel tubes. To get them to run easily through we had to hold the entrance of the tube up to their heads. Winter was a little slow at learining, but since Arrow loves to climb he went right through after several tries. We soon cut the bottoms of plastic cups and made them run through. But first we let them explore their traning area ( a bin). Since Arrow mastered the tubes, he went right on to the paper cups, Winter was trying to go through the tubes. After 10 minutes of traning, Winter would weave in and out of the tubs on her own. Arrow is having trouble with the cups, because he is very lazy. But now Winter and arrow are equally trained, but they excel in different things. Me and my friend will continue to train them to run through tunnels. Then we'd go on to walking over things.

We also decided to clean the gerbils. We first tried it out by filling a tin bowl with water, we put that bowl in a big container. We put the gerbils in one by one. They hate water, but they evetually sit. Arrow scrambled out, a couple times. But we managed to keep them in. After we found out they didn't get fully wet. So we used their water bottle to squirt them with water. Winter loves it when we squirt it on her forhead to it runs down her back. Arrow like it when I squirt his back. It's funny because arrows tan fur turns black.

After training and cleaning we took them in the bathroom for a free run. They loved to race around the place and climb onto our laps and legs. I even put worr on my head. Winter very squirmy, so she grabs onto my hair and falls down my face (it really funny). Arrows a sweetie although he bit me a couple times (more like teethed), because he seems to suck but nibble me. After they where exhausted and resided in their "trailer" (over turned kleenex box) They snuggled up and fell asleep.

The twisted thanksgiving

Well today I went out to Portage la prairie with Nick. We rented out a business room, for our dinner. It was very quiet at the beginning. We invited 2 of Nicks friend Stewart and Jesse.Jesse couldn't make it but Stewart was there the whole time. We had Turkey, Grandma's famous Whipped jello, Meatballs, Perogies, Stuffing, and pumpkin cheesecake. Those are some varieties of food you will find at our dinners. I think Thanksgiving is very Ethnic, A chance to eat new or food you only have once in a while. If you need an example I would say perogies, and meatballs (wherever they came from).

It was very quiet. Nick and Stewart talked about work, ( Nick works at Hi tec and Stewart works at Boston pizza) Grandma and grandpa, and my parents, talked about Hockey and other things. I just sat there minding my own business. After that we all hooked up the wii and played. Me, Nick and Stewart played before the Hockey game started. My mom and grandma played scrabble and my dad watched. When the game started we decided to get out of what was the " Man cave" And throw around the football, after throwing around the football for several minutes, we took a leisurely walk around the hotel. I of course felt sick after gorging all that food. But I had some salty chips and I was ok. We all watched the game (Jets vs Montreal). I was playing on my Ipod and texting my friend. Although it was distracting to hear them yelling when Montreal scored. I personally like the Jets better.

Eventually Montreal won, and the men all went out to celebrate. Granma and Granpa left before the game, so they missed all the chaos (good for them) . We had to drop of Stwewart and Nick at 8 (their curfew). We drove all the way home, and are now stuffed and satisfied.
