Caramilk life and death

So, if you read "A real menagerie" that my cousin writes, you would hear about my sweet guinea pig caramilk. A few weeks ago my mom found her flat as a pancake in her cage. let me tell you about her, Caramilk was the sweetest guinea pig ever, i got her when i was 9 or ten. I was at the mall, getting ready to spend 30 dollars on some new school clothes. After i found nothing me and my mom went into pet land, where we looked at the puppies. While looking at the rabbits and mice, i noticed the Guinea pigs where on sale, for 30 dollars!

I asked my mom and we came to an agreement. I was going to buy a brown guinea pig, as the store owner said a nice one. but i was drawn to one that was dark brown with a light brown mask and tummy. I held her and realised her ear was shredded, both of them. the store owner said she was a mean one, but in my arms, she was sweet. She was very tiny as well. i bought her along with a blue igloo. I was going to name her teddy, but the name Caramilk suited her better, since she was the colours of a caramilk bar.

once i brought her home, we set up an enclosure downstairs. I taught caramilk how to drink out of a bottle and eat from her dish. Also how to climb through things. i remember she would always climb into my skirt.  We moved her to a glass cage, and soon she was welcomed into the family. As the years went on, she grew up and i grew up. I began to lose interest in her, since school was getting harder, she started growing mats and her nails began to get long.

So a few weeks ago we gave her a shave and a bath and clipped her toenails. Then we gave her lettuce. A week before that she didn't even touch her lettuce or her water or food. We knew something was wrong since she had Gray hairs. And she didn't even go near her lettuce. the next day we found her flat on her food dish and that was the end of poor Caramilks life. RIP caramilk 2009-2012
